A LITTLE ABOUT DAPHNE

I am currently 48 years old and I've NEVER felt better in my own skin!!  I'm a wife. I'm a Mom. I'm a daughter. I'm small business owner. But most of all I'm a woman. And Woman is the biggest and toughest job I know. I have owned and operated Ellenburg Photography / Hello Boudoir for over 19 years now. 

I'm busy just like you. Always running from carline to my studio then back to car line, then to ball practice and back home to make dinner and if there is any time at all, I can take care of my house and my garden and do the laundry.

That's ME - in beautiful lingerie, at my most recent boudoir shoot. I do one every year.

I'm an over-thinker.I had every excuse in the world not to do this session, like this lingerie is new, I'm not sure it will photograph well. She won't know how to pose me so I don't look fat. This natural 11am lighting will be too harsh, it will make me look old. Seriously, I could keep going. But I pushed forward with trust and she helped me see myself. The me that's always there looking back from the Mirror. And once you see it, you will never go back. Do I still see my Mom belly or a stretch mark or a wrinkle? Yeah, I do. I'm Human. But when those voices try to sneak into my head, I can see past them to the real me - One HOT Momma. I love the way I look in this portrait.

When people ask me what I do for a living, I like to proudly announce that, "I photograph women in their underwear." My husband is always interested in people's reaction to that statement while my nearly teenage daughter still gets rosy cheeks and exits this conversation pretty quickly. But not me. I could talk about what I do here in South Alabama and why I do it all day. And on my best days, that's exactly what I did. Q: What is a LUXURY SERVICE exactly?

A Luxury Service is service that makes you feel special and comfortable to be there while using and creating products that are not essential but are highly desired. Daphne is a certified boudoir photographer, meaning she is a graduate of several boudoir photography specific programs and continued education. The professionals that she brings into the studio for you have the same professional qualifications.  You DON'T want amateur boudoir portraits, do you?

Q: How many sessions do you book in one day?

A: I say this while doing MY happy dance: ONE! This is because I want to focus 100% of my attention on YOU that day. I don’t want to constantly check the time and worry that we’re cutting it too close to the next session. You are making an investment in yourself, and I want you to feel confident knowing I am devoting the entire morning to YOU!

Q: You’ll help me with posing, right?!

A: Girl. YAS! I am very “hands on” with posing, meaning…I’m not throwing you to the wolves and making you just fend for yourself! I will make sure no body part looks awkward, I will find the best pose to fit YOUR body type, and I will even show you photos as we go! Not all bodies are the same, so why would I pose every girl the same… right?! :-) POSING is my SUPER POWER.

Q: Is hair and makeup included?

A: Heck yes! YES a thousand times. We want you to be pampered! Get rid of the notion that you are coming in just for a photo session. That is NOT what this is. Sure, you get your photos taken (and you’ll be mind-blown by how beautiful you are). But what you leave my studio with is just as important. We want you to feel empowered, sexy, beautiful, and like Wonder Woman! Our Boudoir Makeover includes full face makeup and gorgeous eyelashes.

Q: How many outfits do we use?

A: We will do 6 different looks/outfits! You may even find yourself feeling a little brave at the end and wanting “topless” to be an outfit. Hey.. you never know! And don’t worry, it’s all done with grace and class! Bring as many as much as you want and then I will help you narrow it down from there to what I feel is the most flattering for your body type, skin tone, etc!

Q: I’m really…REALLY nervous…is that normal?

A: YES! I tell you no lie when I say that the vast majority of our girls are super nervous coming into a boudoir session. Let’s face it…when was the last time you strutted in front of a camera in lingerie for professional (classy) photos? More than likely, the answer is “never.” But rest-assured that we will make you feel ultra comfortable.

Q: Ok, How Much?

A: The only fee we collect up front is your session retainer. Our Session retainers start at $299. That cost will reserve your day on our calendar, retain the services of your talented photographer, a professional editor for your portraits, and it includes your hair and makeup experience.

Q: Are images included in my Retainer fee?

A: NO. Your session fee covers all the time and talent of the team at Hello Boudoir. Image collections are in addition to the session cost.

Q: When will I get to see and order my images?

A: SAME DAY! YES! At Hello Boudoir, you see and order your images directly after your session. No more waiting and wondering. Get what you want the way you want it.
